Discovering Jinan's Springs, Uniting TIMEAST - A Thriving Team-Building Journey

From May 21 to 23, 2025, the TIMEAST Offshore Engineering team journeyed to Jinan, the picturesque "Spring City," where we explored culture, embraced nature, and grew together through teamwork. The experience brought new energy and unity to our team.

Day 1: Tracing the Springs of Jinan

Our journey began at Baotu Spring, one of Jinan's three most famous attractions and honored as the "Number One Spring under Heaven." Beside the bubbling waters stands Luoyuan Hall, a traditional pavilion whose classical architecture forms a picturesque harmony with the crystal-clear spring.

Next, we visited Wanzhu Garden, originally built during the Yuan Dynasty. The garden showcases a fusion of architectural styles, with winding corridors and layered courtyards. Exquisite stone, wood, and brick carvings bring the space to life, while flowering trees like quince and pomegranate fill the garden with seasonal beauty.

Our third stop was Wulongtan Park, home to the iconic Wulong Spring, the largest of its spring group, flowing year-round. Colorful koi swim through the clear pool, and famed springs such as Guwen Spring and Tianjing Spring add to the charm, giving us a deeper appreciation for the unique allure of Jinan, the City of Springs.

As evening approached, we arrived at Daming Lake, known as the "Pearl of Spring City." Willow trees swayed along the lake's edge, and the historic Lixia Pavilion emerged softly in the twilight. Surrounded by blooming lotus, graceful willows, and distant mountain silhouettes, we experienced the poetic beauty of "four sides of lotus, three sides of willow, and half the city embraced by lakes and hills."

Day 2: Conquering Qianfo Mountain

On the second day, we set out to conquer Qianfo Mountain, one of the storied "Nine Peaks of Qiyan." As the morning sun pierced through the light mist at the mountain's base, a golden glow spread across the thousand-year-old landscape, as if offering a warm welcome to every climber. The journey upward became a testament to our teamwork and perseverance, with us encouraging one another and ascending together toward new heights.

Day 3: Strolling Through Time

On the final day, we explored Jingsan Road Historical Commercial District, a neighborhood steeped in Republican-era charm. Surrounded by old buildings full of character, we strolled through quaint alleyways, visited unique cafés and creative shops, and experienced the evolution of Jinan's modern commerce firsthand.

From the murmuring springs and breathtaking natural wonders, to the summit challenges that tested our teamwork, and the leisurely strolls through historic commercial streets, the three-day journey offered a full view of Jinan's unique charm—its mountains, springs, lakes, rivers, and cityscape. More importantly, we strengthened our trust, communication, and camaraderie. When the poetic beauty of "four sides of lotus, three sides of willow" meets the shared belief of "one team, one heart," the strength we gathered in the Spring City will become the driving force that propels TIMEAST forward—braving new waves, scaling greater heights, and writing the next chapter of our shared journey with confidence and unity.
